Welcome to Eastcote Primary School

I would like to welcome you to Eastcote School, a one-form entry school, which prides itself on its community atmosphere.  We are very fortunate to have a building that provides us with a wonderful learning and working environment for children and staff alike.

All the staff at Eastcote are committed to ensuring that the school keeps its friendly, caring atmosphere whilst ensuring that children develop a broad range of life skills.  We want all the children to become confident, independent learners who show respect for one another and can talk articulately about their feelings and ideas.

We teach a thematic curriculum which aims to be responsive to children's interests and backgrounds.  In addition to developing the basic skills of literacy and numeracy, children also learn scientific, technological, creative and thinking skills to help them prepare for life in the wider world.

We participate in a wide variety of sporting acitivities through inter-school competitions, our house system and lunchtime and after school clubs.

We are always keen to extend our range of partnerships with parents and community groups to ensure that children at Eastcote enjoy exciting opportunities and have an enriched learning experience.  Educational visits, school journey and visitors play an important part in school life.

We have  now been awarded membership of the Mayor of London's Gold Club which identifies those schools in London that are succeeding in raising levels of achievement for different groups of children.  All eligible schools have proven their ability to achieve through their published performance data.  Schools that are potentially eligible will be invited to join the scheme and Gold Club members will be recognised by the Mayor and their peers and encouraged to share their good practice with other schools.

We have also been awarded Healthy Schools London Bronze Award which shows we are supporting the health and wellbeing of our school community.

I hope you will find this website interesting and informative and that it gives you an insight into Eastcote Primary School.
